What are the duties of a Hotel Manager? 

Hotel Managers at Accor are pioneers who take on new and innovative approaches to hospitality every day. Spanning from leadership and financial management to human resources and guest satisfaction. Here are some of the key responsibilities of a Hotel Manager:

Leadership management 

  • Leads and supervises all relevant activities in operations departments, keeping close contact with the General Manager. 
  • Develops, recommends, implements, and manages the operational department’s annual and long-term goals. 
  • Manages performance issues within the operational departments. 
  • Conducts daily briefings with management on current key activities.

Talent management and collaboration 

  • Facilitates the hiring and retention of talent.
  • Drives HeartistⓇ engagement, learning, and development within departments.
  • Ensures that the hotel consistently disposes of adequate, motivated, and skilled personnel at all levels.
  • Trains, develops, coaches, and counsels departmental team members and managers.
  • Effectively communicates with other hotel departments, regional, and corporate teams.

Guest and employee satisfaction

  • Handles all guest interactions professionally and appropriately.
  • Ensures guest and employee satisfaction, while maintaining market competitiveness and exceptional financial performance.
  • Anticipates and addresses guest issues and establishes proactive processes to promote guest satisfaction.
