Job Description

Revenue & Reservation Manager

SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Revenue & Reservations Manager is pivotal in driving revenue and online sales growth. Responsibilities include managing reservation systems, implementing pricing strategies, and optimizing e-commerce platforms. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is crucial for achieving business goals. Strong analytical skills and a customer-centric approach are essential for success in this role.

Summary of Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage reservation systems to ensure accurate and efficient handling of bookings, cancellations, and modifications.
  • Develop and implement pricing strategies to maximize revenue and profitability, including dynamic pricing and yield management techniques.
  • Oversee distribution channels, including online travel agencies (OTAs) and direct booking platforms, to optimize occupancy and revenue distribution.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor pricing, and consumer behavior to identify revenue opportunities and inform pricing decisions.
  • Drive online sales growth by effectively managing e-commerce platforms, including website optimization and digital marketing initiatives.
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, and IT teams to align strategies and enhance the overall guest experience.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of revenue and e-commerce strategies.
  • Conduct regular revenue meetings and provide revenue forecasts to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously improve revenue management and e-commerce efforts.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key industry partners and vendors to optimize distribution channels and negotiate favorable terms.
  • Train and mentor reservations, revenue management, and e-commerce teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals and standards.
  • Implement and maintain revenue management software and tools to streamline processes and enhance decision-making capabilities.
  • Conduct regular audits of reservation and revenue data to ensure accuracy and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to reconcile revenue data and ensure compliance with financial reporting standards.
  • Proactively identify and address revenue leakage or optimization opportunities across all revenue streams.

Carries out additional tasks from time to time, by request of senior team members which may not be directly related to the job role but necessary for smooth operation of the resort


Qualifications

Qualifications:

 

  • Comprehension of technical and managerial applications of Reservation systems including One Yield, and Fidelio or Opera
  • Working knowledge of the yield management system, One Yield
  • Comprehension of the reservation sales process.
  • Understanding of group sales process and group sales demands
  • Understanding of Raffles sales process and transient demand
  • Strategic approach towards maximizing room revenue through use of historical data and analysis of the marketplace.
  • Able to develop and implement effective plans to maximize market rooms revenue
  • Able to develop and manage hotel budget for the current and future years
  • Analytical approach to problem solving utilizing data to make conclusions
  • Able to analyze financial statements, revenue reports, and market data
  • Able to develop and deliver training to reservation agents
  • Able to develop and deliver effective presentations
  • Ensure that all hotels strategies conform to Brand Philosophies and company future goals
  • Operational knowledge and demonstrated expertise of One Yield, Fidelio or Opera, Delphi, Demand Query, Oscar, Excel, and Word
  • Fluent in English, local language is a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal skill
  • Previous experience in Maldives, island or remote location
  • Experienced in Fire & Life safety systems
  • Previous experience in luxury hotel/resort.
  • Strong leadership, ability to train and motivate team.
  • Highly interactive and people-friendly attitude.
  • Should be proficient in MS-Office, Opera-PMS
  • Fluency and business level communication skills in English.
  • Experience in handling OTA, Ecommerce platform.
  • Excellent telephone presentation, sales skills and ability to upsell is a plus.
  • Passion for customer service.
  • Ability to work in a remote location or island life.
