Job Description

This high-energy individual will be the primary point of contact for all Employee Experience activities. They will enhance the work and social environment for our employees and help plan, create, execute and evaluate activities that improve our Employees’ well-being in all areas of their lives. They will also be responsible for assisting the Talent & Culture Department in the day-to-day administration and coordination of functions within the Talent & Culture Department.

Competitive Salary: $55,500-$57,000 gross annually, based on previous experience & education

Job Duties Include:

Reporting to the Director, Talent & Culture, your responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Lead and execute social, wellness, and recreational programs; chair the Heartist and Social Committees; plan and chaperone on- and off-property activities; recruit and manage volunteers; maintain event budgets and vendor relationships.

  • Drive employee recognition efforts; facilitate focus groups; manage employee communication channels including social media; create promotional materials such as monthly event calendars and brochures.

  • Present employee experience strategy during orientation; support onboarding processes including system access, ID/nametags, and Dayforce records; assist with training logistics and new hire readiness.

  • Act as the first point of contact for employees in the T&C office; assist with general inquiries and day-to-day administrative tasks such as filing, POs, correspondence, and supplies.

  • Partner with Staff Housing on common space enhancements; support hotel-wide initiatives including the annual gala, engagement surveys, and wellness programs; maintain records and set annual goals for the employee experience strategy.


Qualifications

Your Skills & Qualifications:

  • Background and experience in Event Management/ Entertainment/Recreation Studies
  • Hotel operation experience an asset
  • Computer experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Publisher)  and social media savvy with an excellent knowledge of Graphic Design Software (Adobe Suite, Canva etc)
  • Must have intensity, enthusiasm and a high energy level
  • Passionate about outdoors lifestyle and wellness
  • Proven self-starter and able to work unsupervised
  • Strong Administrative skills
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
