Job Description

The Senior Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue through the successful handling of group room bookings, meetings, social events, and corporate functions. This role manages the full sales cycle from inquiry to conversion, while ensuring seamless coordination with internal departments and maintaining absolute accuracy of all event details to deliver exceptional event experiences. Coordinating residential events that require both guestrooms and function spaces.

Primary Responsibilities

Managing residential events that require both guestrooms and function spaces

  • Respond to all enquiries pertaining to group accommodation, meeting rooms and event spaces for both corporate and social functions
  • Conduct site inspection of the hotel’s accommodation rooms, function spaces and facilities
  • Prepare Proposals, Contracts, Rooming Lists, Group Resumes and Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) in a timely manner
  • Conduct weekly BEO meetings with relevant departments to ensure smooth running of the events
  • Ensure that function spaces and F&B are prepared according to client specifications prior to the event
  • In-charge of function space bookings to ensure that spaces are optimized
  • Manage room blocks and rooming lists
  • Prepare monthly event forecast and R&B sales reports
  • Preparing Proposals, Contracts and Corporate Rate Agreements
  • Ensure client records in our CRM systems are updated
  • Attend to calls and enquiries pertaining to group accommodation and events
  • Maintain a record and inventory of sales collaterals and corporate gifts
  • Work collaboratively with the Sales, reservations and F&B department to generate opportunities for new business.
  • Works closely with Finance team to follow up on payment
  • Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings. Activities include in house promotions, hotel show rounds, and an active involvement in restaurant service during peak hours.
  • Drive Accor  Loyalty program and Dining offer to expand customer base for sales opportunities.
  • Explore opportunities of hosting social events & networking events in new function space.
  • Visit potential accounts to drive group accommodation, function space business. Manage and respond to all incoming inquiries for meetings, social events, and corporate functions in a timely and professional manner.
  • Proactively convert inquiries into confirmed business to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, event organizers, and social clients to encourage repeat business.
  • Prepare proposals, negotiate terms, and finalize event contracts in accordance with hotel policies.
  • Ensure all event details are accurate, clearly documented, and consistently communicated across all departments.
  • Coordinate and attend Banquet Event Order (BEO) meetings with Culinary and Banquet Operations teams to review upcoming events and ensure alignment on client requirements.
  • Ensure accurate and detailed event documentation, including BEOs, contracts, and client correspondence.
  • Conduct site inspections and client meetings to showcase accommodation rooms, event facilities and services.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, forecasts, and revenue reports.
  • Key Focus: Room nights, meeting package revenue, catering revenue, total event profitability

 


Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree; 3 years’ experience in the food & beverage, events / sales, guest services, group accommodation or related professional area.
  • Multiple discipline experience in above disciplines, preferred.
  • Strength in sales and the ability to negotiate and deliver exceptional service.
