Job Description

 

Basic Function

At Fairmont RAMLA RIYADH, all guest service has the potential to create a lasting memory when it is delivered with warmth and sincerity. Be an ambassador for our brand as a Reservations Agent, where the engaging and anticipative service you provide over the telephone will make our guests feel valued and reflect the exceptional hotel experience to come.

Duties & Responsibilities

Reporting to the Revenue Director, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  1. Consistently offer professional, friendly, and engaging service.
  2. Follow Reservation policies, procedures, and service standards.
  3. Respond promptly and professionally to all room reservations, rate offers, and hotel information inquiries via telephone, fax, and/or E-mail.
  4. Reserve hotel accommodations for guests in the Leisure, Business Travel, Convention/Association, Corporate Meetings, and Wholesale market segments.
  5. Accurately record all required reservation information in the Central Reservations System and/or the Opera Property Management System (PMS).
  6. Review and update reservations interfacing between the Accor Reservation Systems.
  7. Ensure reservation confirmations are issued promptly and accurately.
  8. Monitor Hotel Inventory to maximize Room Revenues.
  9. Drive the hotel’s upsell program by consistently offering the best suitable room types according to guest needs maximizing hotel revenue and earning incentives by the company’s standards
  10. Provide support to our colleagues at, Fairmont Global Reservations Centre with guest booking needs.
  11. Ensure GDPR compliance and safeguard guest privacy with the utmost confidentiality
  12. Understand special promotions and ensure the information is communicated to various operational departments.
  13. Ensure all cashier paperwork and journals are filed with the Manager on duty daily.
  14. Follow all safety and sanitation policies when at work
  15. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

  • Minimum 1-year Reservations, Front Office, or Sales experience required.
  • Must possess professional telephone etiquette and an excellent command of English.
  • Must be flexible with shift start/end times and available to work weekdays and weekends, depending on operational needs.
  • Typing skills, approximately 40 words per minute.
  • Property Manager (Opera), and Microsoft Office applications experience an asset.
  • Excellent knowledge of hotel facilities and surrounding areas.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
  • Highly responsible & reliable.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work cohesively with colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
