Job Description
Reporting to the Director, Spa & Recreation, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
- Welcome guests to the Spa and ensure they have a safe and enjoyable experience
- Ensure all guests are registered prior to using the fitness facility
- To have full working knowledge and capability to supervise, correct, and demonstrate all duties and tasks in the assigned workplace.
- Maintain current knowledge of all spa services, pricing, offerings, schedules, specials, and other services provided at the spa.
- Provide bespoke guest service to every guest who enters the Gym and Spa as per the Fairmont Standard Operating Procedures
- Ensure all guests are aware of the guidelines regarding the use of the facility
- Maintain cleanliness of all types of equipment, public and service areas
- Ensure guests members are aware of all programs and activities available
- Bus and stock all service area items including towels, water, ice, beverages, magazines, newspapers and clean headsets
- Schedule of all colleagues in all department of Recreation & Wellness and ensure smooth operation of the reception.
- Provide guests with all information regarding the fitness facility and its offerings
- Provide all administrative duties as required
- Assist in promoting the facility and organizing special events as required
- Report any equipment that needs servicing
- Provide a high level of guest satisfaction through effective communication
- The Recreation Supervisor is responsible for supporting the Director of recreation & Entertainment and the team to operational excellence while understanding and executing the short- and long-term goals established by the Director of Recreation & Entertainment.
- Follow departmental policies and procedures
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies

Qualifications
- Previous experience in a fitness facility an asset
- Certification in CPR First Aid required
- organized and a great team player
- Passionate about wellness and a healthy working environment
- Implementing programs whereby the Spa Journey intensifies through a combination of individual touches and experiences
- Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications required
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
