Job Description
As a Laundry Technician, you will be responsible for all general repair and maintenance in laundry plumbing and electrical system of the Hotel.

What you will be doing:
- Ensure that all laundry equipment’s are properly maintained and service to upkeep all equipment and to avoid breakdown
- Maintain all kinds of laundry equipment and ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes
- Perform preventive maintenance and completes the turn-over quickly and efficiently in order to keep a good flow of the operations
- Maintain security measures by counting and making rounds through the laundry on a periodic basis
- Respond to breakdowns of equipment’s and being available in case of emergency and applying the appropriate action as per Hotel policy and standards
- Operate in a safe and environmentally friendly way to protect guests’ and employees’ health and safety, as well as protect and conserve the environment
- Comply with the hotel environmental, health and safety policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Minimum 2-3 years of previous experience in position is a strong asset
- Experience in the hospitality industry is preferred
- Mechanical & Technical certification is preferred
- Strong problem solving abilities
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Positive attitude and good communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):
- Constant standing and walking throughout shift
- Frequent lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs
- Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
- Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps

Please note that you must be eligible to live and work in Dubai. Swissotel Al Ghurair & Swissotel Living Al Ghurair will cover visa costs and flights for selected candidates from place of origin.
