We are seeking a talented and innovative Executive Pastry Chef to join our prestigious culinary team in Doha, Qatar. As the leader of our pastry department, you will be responsible for creating exquisite desserts, pastries, and baked goods that delight our discerning guests and elevate our dining experience.
- Develop and implement innovative pastry menus, including seasonal specialties and signature desserts
- Lead and mentor a team of pastry chefs, ensuring high standards of quality and consistency
- Oversee daily pastry production, including breads, pastries, cakes, and chocolates
- Manage inventory, costs, and budgets for the pastry department
- Collaborate with the executive chef and other culinary leaders to create cohesive dining experiences
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain the highest standards of hygiene
- Stay current with global pastry trends and incorporate new techniques and flavors into the menu
- Participate in culinary events and competitions to showcase the hotel's pastry offerings
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in high-end pastry kitchens, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
- Advanced knowledge of pastry techniques, including chocolate work, sugar art, and cake decoration
- Proven ability to develop innovative dessert menus and create visually stunning presentations
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Proficiency in budgeting, cost control, and inventory management
- Current food safety certification
- In-depth knowledge of international pastry trends and techniques
- Experience with dietary restrictions and allergen management
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Excellent communication skills in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
