Job Description

We are seeking a strategic, results-oriented, and highly experienced Director of Revenue to join our leadership team at Mercure Melbourne Doncaster. In this pivotal role, you will lead revenue optimization initiatives across all channels, leveraging market data and analytics to maximize both occupancy and profitability

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement robust revenue management strategies to drive room revenue and optimize occupancy.
  • Analyze market demand, competitor activity, and booking trends to guide pricing and inventory decisions.
  • Manage revenue performance across all distribution channels to ensure rate integrity and inventory efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams to align business objectives and drive total revenue.
  • Provide regular performance reports, forecasts, and actionable insights to senior leadership.
  • Monitor booking patterns and adjust strategies dynamically based on market shifts and demand fluctuations.
  • Identify new revenue opportunities and implement innovative, forward-thinking solutions.
  • Ensure accuracy in revenue systems, tools, and data, maintaining reliable reporting infrastructure.
  • Stay informed about industry innovations, best practices, and competitive developments.
  • Contribute to annual budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a senior revenue management role, ideally within the upscale or midscale hospitality sector..
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • An MBA or postgraduate qualification with a focus on revenue strategy, finance, or analytics is a strong advantage.
  • Strong commercial acumen and analytical capabilities, with a track record of driving measurable revenue improvements.
  • Proficiency with revenue management systems (RMS), channel management tools, and the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong leadership qualities with experience in managing and developing teams.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, with a focus on data accuracy and timely decision-making.
  • Ability to perform in a high-paced, dynamic environment with changing market conditions.
  • Deep understanding of hotel distribution strategies and channel performance metrics.
  • A customer-focused mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
