We are looking for an experienced Director of Marketing to join the re-opening of the famed Delano Miami Beach.
Set to open its doors in 2025, Delano Miami Beach will fuse historic charm with contemporary luxury, reflecting a reimagined experience that pays homage to the original visionary concept. Comprising 170 rooms and distinct food and beverage concepts, the hotel will preserve its iconic walk-in pool and, in addition, unveil a new pool on an amenity deck, offering breathtaking views of the ocean. Delano Miami Beach will act as the brand’s flagship location, re-establishing Delano as a trailblazer in luxury lifestyle hospitality. Ennismore, in partnership with Cain International (the owners of Delano Miami Beach as well as partner in the Delano brand), are currently undertaking a significant renovation and redevelopment of the iconic Delano hotel with an aim to open its doors again ahead of the 2025 winter high season.
In the role of Director of Marketing you will be responsible for creating and executing marketing plans and strategies that increase revenue for all areas of the hotel and food & beverage outlets. Additionally, you will play a key role in reintroducing Delano Miami Beach to lifestyle hospitality and revitalizing its brand presence and recognition.
What you'll do...
- Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans that strategically enhance the property's visibility, drive revenue growth across all departments and F&B outlets, and maintain brand integrity across all touchpoints.
- Partner with the sales and revenue teams to ensure an aligned approach - develop offers and campaigns that drive revenue for the entire property.
- Engage with operational teams to identify key business objectives, providing innovative marketing solutions to effectively support, achieve and exceed these goals.
- Provide functional leadership and strategic support for your team, executive leadership, internal customers, vendors, agencies and more.
- Manage and oversee all digital aspects of the property – website, email marketing, social media channels, etc. Ensure information is accurate, current, and engaging.
- Lead the creation and execution of on-property marketing communications that resonate with guests and drive brand engagement across all onsite experiences.
- With the support of Ennismore corporate teams, manage internal and external agencies to execute performance-driven strategies, support hotel and F&B visibility, and ensure brand consistency.
- Develop ownable, ongoing programming that differentiates Delano Miami Beach in the market to attract guests and locals.
- Create relationships with the community, local press, influencers, and tastemakers, and coordinate media stays and events to host these audiences at the hotel.
- Assist the Ennismore teams in styling and execution of photoshoots and other events that might require on-site assistance.
- Budget development and ongoing budget management.
- Tracking and resolving problems and issues escalated by end users. Establishing procedures to solve problems.
- Ensure guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly and courteous service always.
What we're looking for...
- A bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Marketing is strongly preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in progressive roles within a marketing function, preferably in an upscale or lifestyle brand hotel.
- Proficient understanding of systems such as: Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint & Outlook, Opera, Canva, Sprout, etc.
- Someone with a passion and knowledge of the arts, design and the hospitality industry who has their finger on the pulse in Miami and beyond.
- A creative campaign thinker - from ideation to delivery who is capable of translating ideas and visions into the hotel operation.
- Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines and have a high-level attention to detail.
- You have a passion for hospitality, you inspire an enthusiastic guest-centered approach.
