The hotel provides the international business community with space for up to 3000 delegates across 33 meeting rooms. It accommodates both business and leisure guests in one of our 630 bedrooms.

 


    Job Description

     

    The Assistant MICE Sales Manager supports the MICE Sales Manager in the management of the hotel’s reactive MICE sales team, monitoring and reporting on trends and the financial status of the hotel’s MICE business, and preparing and implementing the MICE strategy together with the Director of Sales & Marketing.

    Main responsibilities

    • Assist with the day to day management of the MICE Office team including recruitment and training
    • Help to manage the MICE reactive sales inbox and ensure enquiries are dispatched and responded to in a timely manner
    • Help to manage the diary in order to maximise the MICE revenue by supporting the team in making business decisions
    • To support the MICE Sales Manager, Director of Sales & Marketing and in determining and implementing the MICE strategy for the hotel
    • Help to determine and enforce MICE Office SOP’s in accordance with hotel and company policies
    • Help to record and communicate all objectives and planned activities by conducting annual reviews
    • Act as a liaison between the MICE department and all other departments to ensure that all event revenue opportunities are maximised and events are delivered to the highest standard Help to produce required reports of forecasts, pick up, PACE and any other relevant data that may be required that all Team Members follow Delphi best practice
    • Assist with office administration ensuring all necessary documentation, contracts, contact forms, plans and SOPs are in place and up to date
    • Assist the MICE Sales Manager to ensure all accounting tasks relevant to the department are performed correctly including accurate billing, monthly provisions (commission and AV) and payment collection
    •  Maintain awareness of the hotel’s key competitors and market trends and share with relevant department
    • To collect and share feedback consistently to ensure guest satisfaction and highlight potential service or product issues
    • To attend Sales meetings and run daily, weekly and monthly team meetings
    • To undertake any other reasonable requests of the Hotel Management Team

    Qualifications

    The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

    • Degree or similar level qualification desirable.
    • At least 2 years in the MICE Sales department in a hotel or convention center.
    • Proven track record of success in revenue generation.
    • Desirable experience with Opera Cloud /Delphi/Cvent
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
