Sofitel Gold Coast Broadbeach is seeking an experienced and dynamic Venue and Gaming Manager to lead operations at our gaming and bar venue TC's Bar and Gaming Lounge. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of gaming, compliance, and customer service, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience for guests while maintaining the highest standards of hospitality.


Job Description

  • Manage day-to-day operations of a the gaming and bar venue within Sofitel
  • Manage all facets of Food & Beverage, Gaming, Keno, Sporting Action and Entertainment
  • Ensure compliance with all gaming and liquor regulations and codes, acting as the Gaming Nominee
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local repeat clientele and hotel guests
  • Monitor and optimise venue performance, including financials and customer experience
  • Oversee ongoing training and development of ambassadors, promoting a positive and proactive team environment
  • Work closely with Food & Beverage teams to promote bar and dining options in your venue

Qualifications

What you will bring to the role:

  • Management experience within a similar hospitality environment including gaming
  • A strong understanding of gaming and compliance, with the ability to run the venue professionally
  • Currently hold or be willing to obtain RMLV, RSA, RSG, CLO Certificate, Approved Manager’s Licence and Gaming Nominee Licence
  • Strong financial acumen to manage expenses in line with budget, report on workforce costs and prepare P&L statements
  • Familiarity with Micros Symphony POS system or similar
  • Experience with Wildcat Gaming System advantageous
  • Ability to lead a team and foster a positive work environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with excellent relationship management
  • Exceptional personal presentational with a professional and personable demeanour
  • The ability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays
