Job Description

  • Establish strong partnership with business clients/internal customers to continuously remain aligned with current business issues and opportunities, as related to learning and development.
  • Ensure delivery of an effective induction on-boarding program to support retention of new Hosts and encourage a smooth transition into the business.
  • Provide Customer Service, and Product Knowledge training as required.
  • Manage co-ordination and effective delivery of Company training programs in support of strategic objectives.
  • Lead in the creation, implementation and facilitation of the Hotel Training Plan and budget that is aligned with the hotel’s goals and strategic plan.
  • Update and maintain accurate records of training activities and participant information.
  • Maintain an ongoing Training Calendar to ensure learning resources and opportunities are maximized.
  • Prepare and submit monthly training reports.
  • Ensure Departments have adequate Departmental trainers, and these are well utilized to the business’s needs.
  • Work on a 12-month training needs analysis that aligns with the hotel business plan.
  • Ensure all mandatory training is compliant.
  • Create an annual Learning & Development Budget.
  • Designing e-learning courses, career plans, workshops and more.
  • Consider the relevance of blended learning options such as coaching, mentoring, on-the-job training, classroom training, e-learning, and simulation. Make recommendations to decision makers.
  • To promote and drive brand training.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a Training & Development role, with at least 2 years in a managerial position.
  • A degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, or a related field.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficient in learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms.
  • Ability to assess training needs and develop programs that enhance employee skills and performance.
  • Familiarity with performance management and talent development strategies.
  • Leadership and motivational skills to inspire and guide teams.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams
