Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure smooth functioning and maintenance of all hotel engineering systems and equipment.
- Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, kitchen, and mechanical equipment as assigned.
- Monitor and maintain hotel utilities including DG sets, pumps, air-conditioning systems, lighting, and water supply systems.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and guest complaints related to engineering services.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with hotel standards and safety procedures.
- Maintain proper records of maintenance activities, equipment logs, and daily checklists.
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors whenever required.
- Ensure energy conservation practices are followed within the department.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the engineering workshop and work areas.
- Assist in installation and repair works across the hotel premises.
- Support departmental objectives to achieve operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.
General Responsibilities
- Be fully conversant with hotel fire & life safety/emergency procedures.
- Comply with hotel and department policies and procedures at all times.
- Attend all briefings, meetings, and trainings as assigned by management.
- Report for duty on time wearing clean and complete uniform at all times.
- Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times.
- Perform any other reasonable duties assigned by the Management of the Hotel.
Qualifications
- Secondary / Higher Secondary School education.
- ITI/Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, or relevant technical trade.
- Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in hotel engineering or facility maintenance.
- Good reading and oral proficiency in English language.
- Basic computer knowledge will be an added advantage.
