Reporting to the Assistant Director of Talent & Culture

As a Talent & Culture Specialist, you will play a key role in shaping an exceptional workplace experience by supporting recruitment, onboarding, training, and colleague engagement. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented and people-focused professional who thrives in a dynamic hospitality environment.
Essential Job Functions
Recruitment & Selection
- Oversee daily recruitment activities, ensuring compliance with established hiring standards and procedures.
- Plan and participate in recruitment initiatives, including career fairs, campus outreach, and social media engagement.
- Manage job postings, conduct initial screening interviews, and coordinate interview schedules with hiring managers.
- Ensure completion of employment verifications and background checks.
Onboarding & Training
- Facilitate the onboarding process, including new hire paperwork and orientation sessions.
- Lead and conduct training sessions in both in-person and virtual formats.
Administrative & Communication Support
- Ensure the timely and accurate completion of administrative and clerical tasks.
- Support internal communication efforts to enhance engagement and transparency across the hotel.
Colleague Engagement & HR Support
- Organize and support colleague engagement events, fostering a positive workplace culture.
- Actively participate in the hotel’s colleague committee.
- Provide HR support to enhance workforce well-being and address colleague inquiries.
- Attend departmental stand-ups and meetings as needed.
Service Excellence
- Deliver professional, engaging, and courteous service while maintaining a thorough understanding of departmental policies, service procedures, and standards.
Additional Responsibilities
- Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the Talent & Culture department.
This role is instrumental in strengthening recruitment, training, and engagement initiatives, ensuring a high level of service and support for both colleagues and leadership.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in Human Resources and/or the hospitality industry is required, with hospitality experience strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in SmartRecruiters or similar talent acquisition systems is an asset.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.
- A degree in Human Resources, Hospitality Management, or a related field from a recognized university or college is preferred.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to build meaningful connections across all levels of the organization.
- A proactive problem-solver with a strong sense of responsibility, integrity, and reliability.
- Highly detail-oriented, with the ability to remain composed, adaptable, and solutions-focused in a fast-paced environment.
- A collaborative team player who is passionate about creating a positive and engaging workplace culture.
- Eager to learn, grow, and contribute to a dynamic Talent & Culture team.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is an advantage.
