Pullman and Mercure Brisbane King George Square is located in the CBD and is Brisbane’s largest contemporary style hotel, featuring 438 guestrooms, extensive conferencing facilities for up to 1000 people, and several dining venues including Goldfinch Restaurant and Street Café as well as our award winning Rooftop Bar, Sixteen Antlers.

We are seeking a Talent and Culture Executive to join our team, reporting directly to the Director of Talent and Culture. The role encompasses the following key responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain payroll and time and attendance systems, including processing new hires, promotions, resignations, and other employment status changes.
- Prepare and verify payroll details, ensuring all inputs are submitted accurately and on time.
- Oversee the Exit Management process, facilitating smooth transitions for departing employees.
- Develop and update brand and department policies and procedures as needed.
- Assist with new hire orientations and employee engagement initiatives.
- Coordinate and execute employee-related activities and events.
- Maintain confidentiality and manage the filing system and tracking database for all employees and leaders.
- Support the preparation of monthly reports as required.
- Ensure HR communication boards are current and informative.
- Manage document delivery to appropriate departments in a timely manner.
- Provide professional, courteous, and efficient customer service to team members and leaders consistently.
This position requires a dedicated individual who can contribute to the success of our Talent and Culture department while maintaining a high standard of professionalism.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows applications is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment is crucial.
- Must exhibit unwavering tact, flexibility, and diplomacy while maintaining strict confidentiality at all times.
- Proven commitment to upholding guest service excellence by consistently delivering high-quality service to internal stakeholders.
- Exceptional communication skills with a demonstrated capacity to cultivate professional relationships.
- Exemplary level of responsibility and reliability is non-negotiable.
- Strong initiative and self-direction, coupled with the ability to function as an integral team member.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a multifaceted HR office, specifically in an administrative capacity. Experience within a hotel or dedicated Human Resources environment is strongly preferred.
- Tertiary Education in Human Resources related field is considered a significant asset.
