As a Sushi Cook 1 – Raw Bar, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality sushi and raw bar offerings while maintaining the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene. Working closely with the culinary team, you will contribute to delivering exceptional dining experiences by showcasing precision, creativity, and a strong understanding of sushi preparation techniques.

What you will be doing:
- Prepare sushi, sashimi, and other raw bar items according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Ensure the highest standards of freshness, quality, and food safety when handling seafood and ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station and kitchen work areas
- Prepare ingredients including fish, rice, sauces, and garnishes for daily service
- Assist with inventory management and proper storage of ingredients
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
- Collaborate with chefs and kitchen colleagues to ensure efficient service and consistent quality
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout service
- Support menu development and daily specials when required
- Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented according to restaurant standards
- Other duties assigned
Your experience and skills include:
- Previous experience preparing sushi and raw bar items in a professional kitchen
- Knowledge of sushi preparation techniques and seafood handling
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and presentation
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Food Safe certification or equivalent required
- Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
