Job Description
Steward
Join our dynamic team as a Steward and play a key role in ensuring the cleanliness and efficiency of our kitchen operations. We are looking for a hardworking and detail-oriented individual who takes pride in maintaining high hygiene standards in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
What you will be doing:
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and dishware to maintain hygiene standards
- Assist chefs and kitchen staff by ensuring a steady supply of clean equipment
- Maintain cleanliness in the dishwashing and kitchen areas, including floors, walls, and workstations
- Handle and operate dishwashing machines and other cleaning equipment safely
- Dispose of waste and recycling materials properly while following hotel sustainability guidelines
- Follow food safety and sanitation regulations to ensure compliance with health and safety standards
- Support in receiving and storing kitchen supplies and ensuring proper stock rotation
- Perform additional duties as required to support the kitchen team
Qualifications
Your experience and skills include:
- Previous experience in stewarding or kitchen cleaning is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for long periods
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to hygiene and cleanliness
- Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment handling
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays
- A positive attitude and a team-player mindset
