Job Description
We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Food & Beverage Service Intern to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a Food & Beverage Service Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in restaurant and hospitality operations by assisting with providing exceptional dining experiences to our guests while maintaining the highest standards of service.
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Present menus, make recommendations, and answer questions about food and beverages
- Take accurate orders and communicate them effectively to the kitchen staff
- Serve food and beverages in a timely and efficient manner
- Ensure tables are set up correctly and maintained throughout service
- Process payments and handle cash and credit transactions accurately
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth service
- Address guest concerns promptly and professionally
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations
- Assist in opening and closing procedures as required
- Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions
- Adapt to rotating schedules and different sub-departments within the Food & Beverage Division as needed
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality, Hotel Management, Tourism, or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong customer service orientation with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for handling bills and payments
- Physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
- Team player with a collaborative attitude
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude
