Company Description

Join the Shakespeare Property Group as a Multi-Hotel Accountant, overseeing the financial operations for two exceptional Accor properties: Peppers Marysville and Hotel Woolstore 1888. Peppers Marysville offers a serene retreat with 100 beautifully appointed rooms, nestled in stunning natural surroundings. Hotel Woolstore 1888, located in Sydney's iconic Darling Harbour, is a heritage gem transformed into a luxurious hotel with 90 meticulously designed guestrooms.

This role will ideally be based out of Marysville, with a hybrid working arrangement offered for the right candidate. In this vital position, you will support the Financial Controller in managing day-to-day financial operations, focusing on accounts payable and receivable, while ensuring strict adherence to financial standards and compliance.


Job Description

As a Multi-Hotel Accountant, you will manage the financial operations for two exceptional Accor properties, focusing on both Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable. Working closely with the Multi-Hotel Financial Controller, you will ensure compliance with financial standards, maintain accurate financial records, and assist with key reporting and audits. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial health of both hotels while supporting the broader finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage credit approvals and outstanding Accounts Receivable balances.
  • Implement recovery procedures for overdue balances.
  • Ensure compliance with vendor terms and maintain accounts within credit limits in Accounts Payable.
  • Provide statistical insights to support departmental decisions.
  • Assist with audits, financial controls, and compliance.
  • Support end-of-month processes, reconciliations, and financial presentations.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in Business and/or Accounting.
  • 2 years previous experience as a Hotel Accountant or equivalent (desirable).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide outstanding service and foster positive relationships
  • Proficient in accounting and property management software; experience with Opera Cloud, Zambion, PurchasePlus, and Sun would be beneficial (but not required)
