An exciting opportunity has emerged for a skilled and ambitious Duty Technician to join our experienced Engineering Team and help keep our properties running smoothly and safely.
Job Description
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest maintenance requests.
- Maintain external façades and high-traffic areas to ensure the hotels always look their best.
- Conduct general maintenance and repairs
- Assisting in basic plumbing, electrical, hydraulic, and air conditioning services.
- Paint, repair, and maintain internal and external surfaces, furniture, and equipment to a high standard.
- Prepare, mix, and apply paints, stains, and finishes using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Repair and install wall coverings, caulking, grouting, varnish, and lacquer finishes.
- Work collaboratively with a supportive, knowledgeable engineering team.
Qualifications
- A “can-do” attitude and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
- Trade qualification in Painting & Decorating or related field (preferred)
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Willingness to work across a 7-day rotating roster (penalty rates apply).
- Strong knowledge of paint types, surface preparation, and application techniques.
- Ability to operate hand tools and small machinery safely.
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team environment.
