Job Description

Summary of Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Director of Commercial Strategy, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Consistently offer professional, engaging and proactive guest service while supporting fellow Colleagues
  • Insure an efficient operation of the reservations department in selling & inputting of group and individual reservations to accommodate guest needs and maximize revenue.
  • Respond to all reservation requests, modifications, and incoming calls (both internally and externally) in a courteous, efficient, professional and friendly manner
  • Provide reservation & pick up reports upon request
  • Input group rooming lists and facilitate all group reservation changes upon receipt from conference service manager
  • Monitor cutoff dates, group pick up, and rate restrictions on a daily basis 
  • Work closely with Sales & Events team to coordinate all contracted concessions and room blocks for contract accuracy 
  • Lead weekly Resume Meeting & Cut Off Meetings 
  • Review group resumes and detail each group reservation with appropriate payment instructions, guest requests, upgrades, VIPs, etc.… 
  • Monitor guestroom inventory for property to ensure necessary balancing of group block grids 
  • Be able to understand contract terms and apply them strategically
  • Provide support to Reservations Manager and supervisor and action items as required in an efficient and professional manner 
  • Assist with Meeting and Events reservations 
  • Maintain good working relationships with sales and conference services managers as well as operation teams
  • This position requires a strong attention to details
  • Strict adherence to all Health & Safety training, guidelines and work practices previous, during and following an epidemic (whether local or global) that are established by Accor, local government, international bodies including the World Health Organization (WHO) and Center for disease control (CDC).
  • Perform any other duties, tasks, and assignments within your department as required.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • University degree/diploma in hospitality management is preferred
  • Minimum 1 year experience as a Reservations Agent in a similar environment is preferred
  • Must have strong knowledge of Opera Cloud, CRS, Passkey
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications is required
  • Must be able to type 25 words per minute
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
