Job Description

Sofitel New York is seeking a Group Sales Manager with minimum one-year experience working in an upscale or luxury hotel, from a high profile, high demand market, as a Group Sales Coordinator or Sales Manager.  If you are comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, this position is for you!

What you will be doing:

As a Group Sales Manager, you will manage all aspects of selling and servicing groups, ensuring monthly and quarterly goals are achieved. This position requires working within tight response deadlines, while providing a professional, friendly and informative experience for our clients and guests.

You will work closely with our Operations teams, maintaining a positive relationship, communicating client needs and expectations through Group Resumes and related documents as needed. Accurately maintain accounts, contacts and related business activities within sales applications.

As our business is 24/7/365, working some nights and weekends may be necessary to ensure client satisfaction.

This position has an annual salary range of $75-85k.


Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with demonstrated ability to prioritize and use a trace system to ensure client communication is consistent and timely.
  • Possess a roll up your sleeves, do what it takes mentality.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Quick learner who is inquisitive, detail-oriented, and creative.
  • Self-starter/self-motivated does not need a lot of direction or handholding.
  • Delphi (Salesforce) and Opera experience a plus.
  • Bi-lingual highly desirable.
