Job Description

Primary Responsibilities

  • Conduct Night Auditor duties and Night Audit process whilst on shift 
  • Perform routine maintenance checks on the network and system audit controls.
  • Investigate security breaches, completing relevant forms and advising relevant authorities using the correct legal process.
  • Handle disruptive guests and ensure their discreet removal from the property if needed.
  • Responsible for all other departments in the absence of their respective managers for the duration of the night-time operation.
  • Ensure all relevant reports as required by Management are completed accurately.
  • Ensure that all reports are maintained in an accurate and up to date manner.
  • Handle all complaints promptly and efficiently, ensuring follow up to determine the source of the complaint and resolution of the problem.
  • Be available at all times for guest queries.
  • Ensure the hotel is operating efficiently and according to hotel policy.
  • Ensure all team members are on duty.  Liaise with the department heads/supervisors for replacement of any absent team members.
  • Ensure all public areas, outlets and the Front Office areas are clean at all times.
  • Monitor occupancy to obtain maximum yield.
  • Maintain guest history and use for all bookings as appropriate.
  • Convey all complaints and apparent problems to the appropriate department head.
  • Carry out a complete handover to the next Assistant Manager.
  • Issue floats and keys in accordance with SOP’s.
  • Ensure all basic Liquor Licensing Laws are adhered to.
  • Check all areas for general maintenance requirements
  • Apply full knowledge of fire procedures and take control in the case of a fire.
  • Uphold the credit policy of the hotel. Handle guest queries regarding credit matters and report any discrepancies.
  • Maintain responsibility for after-hours access to any closed areas.
  • Maintain and enforce instructions for consistent and timely back up of the computer network.
  • Maintain control and supervision of all audit functions.
  • Any other duties or projects as requested by the Manager.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2-3 years of relevant Night Audit experience in the hotel industry
  • Demonstrated leadership experience within the customer service industry.
  • Possess a strong background in Front Office procedures and Opera Cloud/PMS.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, develop and inspire teams.
  • Australian full time work permit.
