We are seeking a passionate, dynamic and guest-focused Food & Beverage Sales Executive who can create extraordinary experiences while driving revenue across our celebrated dining and entertainment venues.

This position will focus on generating and converting business for private parties, celebrations, corporate gatherings, group dining experiences and venue buyouts across the following venues, including but not limited to:

  • SOKO – An intimate sushi experience centered on refined technique, presentation and quality
  • Lobby Lounge – A relaxed indoor-outdoor setting for cocktails, casual dining and social gatherings
  • The Bungalow – Santa Monica’s iconic coastal lounge and social destination

Reporting to the Director of Catering & Events and working closely with the Sales, Revenue and outlet leadership teams, the Food & Beverage Sales Executive will develop new business, strengthen client relationships and maximize revenue opportunities across the hotel’s outlets. Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Develop a comprehensive and current understanding of FIG, SOKO, Lobby Lounge and The Bungalow, including each venue’s positioning, unique selling points, menus, capacities, amenities, services, policies and competitive set.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Food & Beverage event inquiries and bookings, working closely with outlet managers and operational leaders to deliver seamless experiences from initial inquiry through event execution.
  • Proactively solicit and secure business for private dining, birthdays, anniversaries, engagement celebrations, rehearsal dinners, corporate gatherings, networking events, social occasions and full or partial venue buyouts.
  • Achieve individual and departmental Food & Beverage sales goals by developing new accounts, converting qualified leads and expanding relationships with existing clients.
  • Generate business through proactive sales calls, telephone and email outreach, networking, client entertainment, site inspections, community partnerships and industry events.
  • Build relationships with corporate clients, event planners, destination management companies, entertainment partners, luxury travel professionals, local businesses and Santa Monica residents.
  • Respond to all incoming inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Qualify each opportunity by identifying the client’s vision, preferred venue, event date, guest count, budget and Food & Beverage requirements.
  • Prepare compelling proposals, menus and event options that showcase the distinct character of each outlet while maximizing revenue and profitability.
  • Conduct engaging site inspections and client presentations that bring the Fairmont Miramar experience—and the personality of each venue—to life.
  • Coordinate closely with Culinary, Food & Beverage Operations, Sales, Revenue and Finance to confirm availability, pricing, menus, contractual requirements and operational feasibility.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of inquiries, bookings, client communications, activities and account production in the designated sales and property-management systems.
  • Monitor account revenue, booking pace, conversion, lost business and production within the assigned portfolio.
  • Prepare month-end production reports, sales forecasts and activity summaries, highlighting results, opportunities and recommended actions.
  • Support the promotion of seasonal programming, holidays, special events and unique dining experiences across the hotel’s outlets.
  • Represent Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows with warmth, professionalism and a positive attitude in every interaction with guests, clients, partners and colleagues.
  • Follow all Fairmont service standards, hotel policies and established sales procedures while helping create lasting guest relationships and repeat business.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in hospitality sales, restaurant sales, catering, events or luxury Food & Beverage operations is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop business, manage client relationships and achieve revenue targets.
  • Strong knowledge of private dining, social events, corporate gatherings and venue-buyout sales is an asset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Highly organized and responsive, with the ability to manage multiple inquiries, bookings and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively with culinary, operational, sales and revenue-management teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Familiarity with hotel sales, customer-relationship-management or property-management systems is preferred.
