Financial Controller

Do you want to work in the most beautiful hotel in the Schiphol area and number 1 on Tripadvisor? For our Finance team we are looking for a pro-active, enthusiastic Financial Controller.

As a Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the accurate management of the financial administration of our hotel Novotel Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (NASA). You will play a crucial role in monitoring the financial health of our hotel and providing valuable insights to your colleagues in the management team.

Your duties will include:

• Preparing and analyzing financial reports, including Profit & Loss and cash flow statements.
• Implementing and monitoring the budgets and identifying possible deviations.
• Managing the accounting, including accounts payable and accounts receivable management.
• Preparing forecasts to inform the company
• Preparing forecasts to predict business performance.
• Advising management on financial decisions and identifying opportunities for cost savings and profit optimization.
• Liaising and answering questions from the owner, auditors, tax advisors and government.
• Compliance with all financial regulations and procedures.
• Managing the financial team, currently 3 people.

• At least 3 years of work experience in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality or hotel industry
• Working well with deadlines and working under pressure
• Extensive knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis
• Experience with accounting software and MS Excel
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Demonstrable leadership experience
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
• A higher professional education (HBO) working and thinking level;
• Proficiency in Dutch and English;
