Fairmont Gold Supervisor

The Fairmont Gold experience includes personalized concierge service, private check-in, an exclusive lounge with daily food & beverage offerings, and elevated amenities.

What you will be doing:

  • Consistently offer friendly, professional and proactive guest service
  • Lead and supervise the Fairmont Gold floor to ensure Fairmont Gold Standards are followed
  • Handle guest concerns and react quickly, tracking and notifying proper areas to guarantee memorable moments for our guests
  • Monitor maintenance and appearance of the Fairmont Gold product (rooms, lounge, food & beverage, etc.)
  • Review all Fairmont Gold reservations to ensure guest requests are met or exceeded
  • Provide exceptional Concierge information about local and area attractions
  • Develop and maintain strong guest relationships to ensure Fairmont Gold loyalty
  • Ensure the highest possible revenues and rate integrity Fairmont Gold rooms, working with the Front Office team on daily upsell programs
  • Follow department policies, procedures and service standards
  • Follow all safety policies 
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

  • Service focused personality is essential with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in food & beverage required
  • Previous supervisory experience in guest service a strong asset
  • Serving It Right certification required
  • Experience working with Opera or related Property Management System required
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities and the ability to lead by example
  • Knowledge of Metro Vancouver, its history, activities and attractions
  • Superior communication skills, both verbal and written, and professional appearance/presentation
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities
  • Ability to work independently and cohesively as part of a team
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
  • Computer literate in all Microsoft Window applications required
  • Ability to type at least 55 words per minute
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts including early morning and late night

The physical job requirements include but are not limited to:   

  • Frequent standing and walking throughout shift
  • Occasional kneeling, bending, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 20lbs
  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps

Visa Requirements:
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
