Rixos Premium Qetaifan Island North
Rixos Premium Qetaifan Island North comprises a 345-key hotel, along with a souq encompassing 11,000sqm of leasing space, a beach club, a theme park, and a waterpark. The resort boasts panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf. Rixos plans to provide a platform for showcasing Qatar as a tourism destination. One of the country’s biggest draws will be Qetaifan Island North’s Waterpark attraction. The Rig 1938 is the world’s highest tower of its kind, reaching 82 metres.
Director of Revenue (Waterpark experience)
This position is responsible for maximizing revenue contribution for the hotel and waterpark, and a thorough understanding of all booking channels and management of inventory and rate therein.
- Optimizes hotel and waterpark corporate pricing strategies through the definition and management of BAR levels, stay restrictions, and other tactics, which are congruent with demand factors and are managed through all distribution channels
- Maintain rates that promote integrity and which protect the relationships with long-term customers
- Work with the Revenue Management Team to determine effective and engaging rate offers (packages) which are then offered to the right customer in the right channel
- Monitors transient, group, and tour booking pace to determine pricing and availability controls for all reservation distribution sources. Discusses and implements changes in the distribution plan accordingly
- Completes all revenue forecasting to accurately project unconstrained demand
- Ensure that appropriate overrides are in place, special events are accurately loaded in the system
- Determine unconstrained demand and maintain the data within the Demand Analysis strategies, both future and historical
- Work with the Director of Sales & Marketing and Sales Team members to encourage strategic selection of the right piece of business, in keeping with brand guidelines
- Track and analyze competitive set pricing and yield strategies, gaining the ability to predict the comp set reaction to changes in the marketplace
- Plays an active role in the Strategic Planning, Marketing Plan, and budgeting processes
- Chairs and prepares materials for the weekly Revenue Management Meetings
- Prepares revenue updates as required
- Diploma in Tourism / Hospitality Management
- Prior experience in Revenue Management is essential. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar capacity preferably in Hotel and Waterpark operations
- Excellent reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, & PowerPoint
- High degree of professionalism with sound human resources management and business acumen capabilities
