As the leader of our Sales & Marketing team your passion, strong strategic leadership, business development, and engaging interpersonal skills will ensure that Hamilton Princess & Beach Club has a well-developed presence in the luxury market.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the General Manager, the Director of Marketing, responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Create and ensure effective implementation of marketing strategies and programs to increase occupancy and make profitable use of Hotel accommodation, meetings and leisure facilities
- Collaborate with the Sales, Rooms, and Food & Beverage leaders to set the direction for target markets in terms of partnerships, maximizing revenue potential, market intelligence, and product reviews within the competitive set
- Drive and evolve a holistic social strategy, developing platform-specific approaches across Hamilton Princess social ecosystem, including Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, Threads, Pinterest, Twitter, LinkedIn, and emerging platforms.
- Lead and direct the creation of all marketing and promotional content using both internal resources and external vendors as required
- Identify, develop, and maintain effective key business relationships
- Lead, motivate, coach, and manage all aspects of the department team member's performance towards achieving exceptional guest service and employee satisfaction results
- Develop and maintain close and effective working relationships with all supporting departments
- Consistently offer professional, friendly, and proactive customer service while supporting fellow colleagues
- Demonstrate Fairmont core values in all interactions
- Review travel industry research to identify trends in the luxury market and develop strategies to create awareness of Hamilton Princess as a luxury property
- Follow and ensure compliance with all corporate, hotel, and departmental policies and procedures
- Perform any other function-related duties and projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- University/College degree in Hotel or Business Management preferably with a concentration in Marketing is required and candidates demonstrating continued professional development are strongly preferred
- Seven to ten years of Marketing experience and a minimum of five years in a senior leadership position and managing large teams within a luxury hotel is required
- A minimum of five year's international experience in a luxury hotel is strongly preferred
- Comprehensive understanding of the creator landscape, a proven track record of crafting and executing creative marketing plans tailored for social media platforms such as Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest, Threads, Twitter, LinkedIn, and emerging platforms.
- Extensive experience in the management of outside vendors such as public relations, social media, advertising etc. agencies
- Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with ownership and their representatives, corporate management, guests, and colleagues at all levels is required
- Demonstrated success in strategically marketing properties in transition to maximize growth
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication (written and verbal) skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of budget planning and financial controls is required
- Must be a results-oriented, highly motivated individual, with a positive attitude
- Proven ability to work efficiently in a demanding and fast-paced environment
- Proven ability to focus attention on guest and colleague needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
- Proven ability to work cohesively as part of a team in a multicultural, diverse environment
- The ability to travel and work non-traditional hours is essential
