Job Description

DESTINATION COORDINATORS – On Call

A smile and helping hand is what our Guests will experience as you personally greet them!

The Destination Coordinators would provide accurate information on topics of history, folklore of the Native American and Mexican cultures, geography, geology, flora and fauna, to recommendations for shopping, restaurants, museums, golf courses, special events, and statewide attractions. Our coordinators escort groups on varied activities, such as horseback riding, jeep or hummer tours, mountain biking, river rafting, hiking, team-building and shopping. 

As a Destination Coordinator with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, your knowledge of not only the hotel, but the local area and the professionalism you display will create a sense of “welcome” like no other.

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the A&E Logistics Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
    • Certified Tour Guides - escort groups or individuals on activities
    • Airport Meet and Greet Guides -  meet, greet, and direct individuals from groups of all sizes to the appropriate baggage claim, transportation service, and assist with any travel issues such as lost luggage, delayed flights, etc.
    • Airport Leads coordinate the “meet and greet" staff and transportation
    • Certified Step On Guides (Docents) - provide commentary on tours throughout the state, for day tours and overnight tours alike
    • Registration Desk Staff
    • Group Departure Coordination
    • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
    • Follow department policies, procedures and service standards, including all safety policies 
    • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Previous customer related experience an asset

  • Excellent communication skills and a professional presentation
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times

 Physical Aspects of Position include but are not limited to the following:

  • Constant standing and walking throughout shift
  • Long periods of time on feet
  • Normally outdoor or off site work
  • Occasionally lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs
