We are seeking a talented and passionate Demi Chef de Partie (Continental) to join our culinary team in Visakhapatnam, India. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality continental cuisine while ensuring efficient operations in your designated station.
- Prepare, season, and cook continental dishes following recipes and presentation specifications
- Assist the Chef de Partie in overseeing daily kitchen operations and provide guidance to junior staff
- Contribute to menu creation and recipe development, incorporating local flavors when appropriate
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Ensure adherence to food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and quality control measures
- Manage inventory and assist with ordering supplies for your station
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service and timely food preparation
- Train and mentor Commis Chefs and kitchen assistants
- Participate in menu tastings and provide constructive feedback
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Assist in implementing cost-control measures and work within budgeted guidelines
- Proven experience as a Demi Chef de Partie or in an equivalent role within a hotel or fine dining establishment
- Culinary degree or diploma preferred
- Strong knowledge of continental cuisine, cooking techniques, and international culinary trends
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in menu planning and recipe development
- Strong time management and multitasking abilities
- Familiarity with local ingredients and flavors of Visakhapatnam, India
- Knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure professionally
- Detail-oriented with a focus on presentation and quality
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
- Passion for culinary excellence and commitment to continuous learning and development
