Assistant Financial Controller

Assist the Financial Controller with financial and operations tasks for multiple hotels.

Work in an experienced finance team.

Ensure accurate financial reporting and meet deadlines efficiently.

• Demonstrate strong Leadership skills 
• Maintain a customer focused approach
• Conduct budget  & forecasting activities
• Analysis of expenses and identify trends.
• Prepare month-end accounts and reporting tasks    
• Manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Meet reporting requirements.
• Assist with tax responsibilities
• Perform monthly reconciliations and assist with tax obligations.
• Facilitate internal audits and provide training to the finance team & HODs
• Assist with external audits.
• Liaise with management and stakeholder as required
• Collaborate with hotel management on financial matters.
• Support day-to-day finance operations and payroll reporting.
• Familiarize yourself with hotel systems and their integration with the general ledger.
• Keep the Financial Controller informed and cover for their absence.

• Management accounting experience
• Minimum of 3 years in a  Management / Supervisor role
• Degree in Finance / Accounting
• Hotel experience is advantageous
• Knowledge of GST, payroll Tax, FBT and NZ tax
• Proficient Microsoft Office suite
