Job Description

  • Verify invoices for accuracy, ensuring approved purchase orders are attached and signed off by the relevant department head.
  • Implement control measures to prevent duplicate accounting or payments of invoices, maintaining the integrity of financial processes.
  • Complete daily bank reconciliations with precision, ensuring accuracy in financial documentation.
  • Securely file all paid invoices by batch payment date, ensuring system-generated remittance advices are attached for easy reference.
  • Assist with preparation of the GST and FBT reconciliations as part of your monthly duties, supporting accurate financial reporting and compliance.
  • Assist with Month End Reporting, contributing to the overall financial health of the organization, and managing department budgets by keeping accurate records of invoices and expenditures.

Qualifications

You will have:

  • A tertiary qualification in Accounting or be actively working towards a financial qualification, which will be an advantage in supporting your success in this role.
  • A minimum of 2+ years of experience in a similar role within the hotel sector, bringing a solid understanding of industry-specific financial processes.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint, enabling efficient management of daily tasks and reporting.
  • The ability to problem-solve effectively while managing conflicting priorities and meeting deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience collaborating with multiple key stakeholders, both internally and externally, to support smooth financial operations and achieve organizational goals.
