Pullman & Mercure King George Square is a vibrant 438 room twin towered hotel which acts as a sanctuary for leisure and business travellers.  Located opposite King George Square, City Hall and ideally situated in the heart of Brisbane CBD the hotel has some of the largest conference spaces in Brisbane incorporating 2 ballrooms. The hotel also features the amazing and extremely popular venues of Goldfinch Restaurant and Street Cafe, & Sixteen Antlers Rooftop.

Job Description

  • Short Term Parental leave position - March 2026 to February 2027  
  • Be the 1st point of call for all incoming calls & follow through with initiative
  • Assist with quotations for Groups, Corporate clients & outlets as required
  • Assist in the planning of the daily activities for sales leaders
  • Responsibility for updating & maintaining the Sales database
  • Generate purchase requests & orders for the department.
  • Ensure accurate meetings minutes are recorded & filed
  • Distribute sales material as required for internal & external promotions
  • Provide operational support with F&B service
  • Administration as required for the Sales team, maintaining electronic files
  • Conduct competitive analysis & assist with the compilation of monthly Sales reports
  • Impeccable grooming & presentation
  • Superior communication skills

Qualifications

  • A genuine people person who can work collaboratively within the team & stakeholders alike.  
  • Have previous experience working within the Hospitality or Tourism industry.
  • Outstanding professional communication and active listening skills.
  • Excellent problem resolution skills
  • Time management skills with the ability to multitask.
  • Strong personal integrity, with an understanding of the importance of confidentiality.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Understanding of OPERA PMS & Delphi is highly regarded
  • Have Full working rights in Australia
