Novotel Melbourne South Wharf features golden 26 level tower with 347 accommodation rooms & suites, Mr. Carpano Dining and Bar and Allora Café. The hotel is complemented with direct access to the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre (MCEC), the Southern Hemisphere's largest meeting space and adjacent to the DFO centre, with 180+ retail brands.

Ibis Melbourne Glen Waverley is situated 25 minutes east of Melbourne CBD and it offers 155 rooms, Ibis Kitchen & Bar, and 4 flexible meeting rooms catering from 4 delegates up to 120 delegates. Our hotel is the gateway to the magnificent Dandenong Ranges, Yarra Valley Food & Wine District, the Mornington Peninsula and Phillip Island.

Ibis budget Melbourne Airport offers 73 rooms and is situated just 400m from Melbourne Airport. With its convenient location, this affordable Melbourne Airport hotel is the ideal choice for visitors flying into Melbourne late at night, or flying out early in the morning.


Job Description

Reporting to the Portfolio Director of Sales & Marketing, we are currently seeking a Portfolio Business Development Executive to join our dynamic team. The Portfolio Business Development Executive is responsible for driving the growth of the hotel business by identifying new market opportunities, building strong relationships with clients and partners, and increasing revenue through strategic sales initiatives. 

Your duties include but not limited to:

  • Responsible for securing new business and growing market share from existing accounts across Corporate, Groups, Sports and Entertainment.
  • Drive guest acquisition and retention strategies to increase footfall and elevate brand presence.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and market developments to identify opportunities for growth
  • Drive revenue growth through proactive sales efforts
  • Provide regular reports and updates to the Portfolio Director of Sales and Marketing and contribute to the Hotel strategic plan, provide market intelligence, and an understanding of competitors and trends
  • Work closely with the Sales & Marketing teams to ensure processes and productivity are continually improved to reach and exceed sales targets.

Qualifications

  • Experience in the hospitality/hotel/travel industry is high desirable - Minimum 2 years working within one or all of these Markets.
  • Exceptional skills in building and maintaining strong relationships with high-profile corporate clients.
  • Advanced negotiation and closing abilities, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a polished and professional demeanour.
  • Reporting to the Portfolio Sales and Marketing Director, with close collaboration with Sales and Revenue teams, you will enjoy working with a team but can also work independently
  • Proficient in strategic planning and executing business initiatives tailored to our esteemed hotels.
  • Experience with the ANAIS, Lanyon and Opera Cloud platforms will be an advantage
  • Willingness to travel as required to meet with clients and represent the brand at industry events
  • Own transportation is essential.
  • Eligible to work full time in Australia.
