Job Description

Key Deliverables and Responsibilities

 

Sales and Business Development:

 

  • Handle all wedding and social event inquiries, conducting engaging show rounds to showcase the venue and converting leads into confirmed bookings.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with couples and clients to fully understand their vision, preferences, and requirements, ensuring personalized event solutions.
  • Manage the end-to-end sales process—from initial inquiry through contract negotiation to the event day—maximizing revenue and client satisfaction.
  • Proactively identify new business opportunities, developing innovative strategies to increase wedding and social event bookings.
  • Stay current with market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to maintain Movenpick Riyadh’s competitive edge as a leading event destination.

 

Generate Sales Leads to Hit Targets:

  • Actively identify and pursue new sales leads through strategic networking, industry events, digital marketing channels (e.g., social media, email campaigns),
  • Partnerships with industry professionals such as wedding planners, photographers, and florists. Utilize the hotel’s CRM system to track, manage, and nurture leads, ensuring timely follow-up to convert prospects into bookings that meet or exceed established revenue and event targets.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns and promotions that attract high-potential clients.
  • Regularly evaluate lead generation efforts using key performance indicators (e.g., number of leads generated, conversion rates, revenue contribution) to refine strategies and ensure alignment with the hotel’s sales goals.

 

Event Planning and Execution:

  • Oversee the planning and execution of weddings and social events, ensuring meticulous attention to detail and flawless delivery.
  • Collaborate with clients to design bespoke events, creating comprehensive timelines, floor plans, and logistical plans tailored to their needs.
  • Coordinate with vendors (e.g., caterers, florists, photographers) and internal teams to ensure seamless integration of services and adherence to quality standards.
  • Supervise on-site operations, including setup, event flow, and breakdown, addressing any issues swiftly to guarantee guest satisfaction.

 

Team Leadership and Collaboration

  • Lead and mentor the weddings and events team, providing training, setting performance goals, and fostering a culture of excellence and professionalism.
  • Work closely with the events and operations teams, as well as other departments (e.g., catering, bar services), to ensure cohesive and efficient event delivery.
  • Conduct regular team briefings and performance evaluations to maintain high service standards and support staff development.

 

Financial and Operational Management

  • Develop and manage event budgets, balancing cost efficiency with quality to achieve profitability targets.
  • Upsell services and enhancements to elevate the client experience and meet company revenue goals.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports on business performance, bookings, and sales activities for senior management review.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies, including credit procedures, health and safety regulations, and licensing requirements.

 

Marketing and Promotion

  • Partner with the marketing team to promote the venue through targeted campaigns, social media, and participation in bridal fairs or industry events.
  • Capture real-life event footage and client testimonials to enhance marketing efforts and showcase the hotel’s offerings.
  • Monitor competitor offerings and pricing, recommending adjustments to keep Movenpick Riyadh competitive and appealing.

 

General Responsibilities

  • Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and adherence to company standards in all interactions with clients, vendors, and colleagues.
  • Participate in training programs and departmental meetings to stay aligned with hotel goals and industry best practices.
  • Report equipment or maintenance issues promptly and support operational efficiency across the property.
