We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tailor to join our team at Swissotel Corniche Park Towers Doha, Qatar. As a Tailor in our organization, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality alterations and repairs to ensure our customers receive impeccable service. Your expertise in tailoring will contribute to maintaining our reputation for excellence in the hospitality industry.

• Execute alterations and repairs on various garments, uniforms, and linens with precision and efficiency
• Attend daily briefings and receive instructions from the Laundry Manager or Supervisor
• Meet or exceed customer expectations by delivering high-quality tailoring services
• Maintain an organized and well-stocked workspace, ensuring all necessary sewing supplies are available
• Assist in sorting and organizing items requiring repairs in the linen and uniform rooms
• Coordinate with the laundry valet for billing requirements related to guest tailoring requests
• Perform timely repairs on uniforms, linens, and upholstery items
• Contribute to monthly hotel uniform inventory processes
• Adhere to all hotel and department rules and regulations, including safety protocols
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations in the tailoring department

• Two to three years of experience in cutting, stitching, and alterations
• Proficiency in various sewing techniques and ability to work with different fabrics and materials
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
• Knowledge of occupational hazards and necessary safety precautions in tailoring
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to speak and write clearly in English
• Flexibility to assist in other areas of the laundry department when needed
• Customer-focused mindset with a dedication to exceeding guest expectations
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
