Strata Manager

Purpose

As our new Strata Manager, the key purpose of your role will be to build relationships with key stakeholders for Accor strata properties in Australia and New Zealand. You will also be a key player in the renewal of Caretaking and Letting Agreements and providing strata support to properties.

The position is based at our Brisbane corporate office, flexibility in a hybrid working arrangement can be offered after initial training period.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Attend Body Corporate Meetings as required
  • Assist Regional General Managers with body corporate related matters
  • Provide guidance to General Managers on body corporate matters
  • Ensure compliance with MLR agreements at property level
  • Develop of improved caretaking services throughout the Group
  • Develop and implement strategies to renew MLR agreements
  • Provide advice to all team members with respect to MLR’s and strata management practices
  • Provide assistance and advice with respect to MLR Assignments
  • Provide training on Body Corporate and strata related issues when necessary
  • Assist Legal Department with Strata related matters.
  • Exercise Agreement Options and work with Compliance Department on Agreement Statuses and Reporting.
  • Refer to, and become familiar with, Strata legislation for each state and territory

 

Skills and Experience

  • Prior experience as a Strata Manager including involvement with large/complex schemes (200+ Lots).
  • Strata Management experience with properties that have Management Rights and (Strata and Building) Management Statements operating.
  • Hotel Operations or Management Rights experience
  • Knowledge of Strata Legislation and practices
  • Knowledge and familiarity with Caretaking and Letting Agreements, common terms and requirements and how they operate
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally verbally and in writing, and prepare reports
