Job Description

 

  • Manage all point-of-sale transactions and ensure accurate cash handling throughout your shift
  • Oversee daily stock levels and conduct regular inventory checks to maintain optimal merchandise availability
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by attending to guest enquiries and ensuring a welcoming shopping experience
  • Maintain visual merchandising standards and ensure the store environment is clean, organised, and visually appealing
  • Process customer transactions efficiently whilst maintaining accuracy in billing and payment reconciliation
  • Assist in training and supervising junior staff members to ensure consistent service standards
  • Monitor and report on sales performance against targets and provide feedback to management
  • Ensure compliance with all hotel policies, procedures, and security protocols
  • Maintain detailed records of stock movements, discrepancies, and daily sales reports
  • Collaborate with other departments to support hotel operations and guest satisfaction initiatives
  • Identify opportunities to maximise sales and suggest improvements to store operations

Qualifications

 

  • Secondary education or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in retail, hospitality, or customer service environment
  • Proficiency in point-of-sale (POS) systems and cash handling procedures
  • Strong numerical and cash reconciliation skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays
  • Knowledge of inventory management and stock control practices
