Job Description

Steward

Join our dynamic team as a Steward and play a key role in ensuring the cleanliness and efficiency of our kitchen operations. We are looking for a hardworking and detail-oriented individual who takes pride in maintaining high hygiene standards in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

What you will be doing:

  • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and dishware to maintain hygiene standards
  • Assist chefs and kitchen staff by ensuring a steady supply of clean equipment
  • Maintain cleanliness in the dishwashing and kitchen areas, including floors, walls, and workstations
  • Handle and operate dishwashing machines and other cleaning equipment safely
  • Dispose of waste and recycling materials properly while following hotel sustainability guidelines
  • Follow food safety and sanitation regulations to ensure compliance with health and safety standards
  • Support in receiving and storing kitchen supplies and ensuring proper stock rotation
  • Perform additional duties as required to support the kitchen team

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

  • Previous experience in stewarding or kitchen cleaning is a plus 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for long periods
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to hygiene and cleanliness
  • Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment handling
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • A positive attitude and a team-player mindset
