Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Steward to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. As a Steward, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen and dining areas, ensuring a smooth operation and exceptional guest experience.
- Inspect, clean, and properly store kitchen equipment, utensils, and dinnerware
- Operate and maintain dishwashing machines, ensuring appropriate water temperature and chemical levels
- Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and materials as needed
- Assist in the proper disposal of waste and recycling
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow during meal service
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, including floors, walls, and storage spaces
- Assist in inventory management of kitchen supplies and equipment
- Comply with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations
- Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on best practices
- Support other departments as needed during peak periods
Qualifications
- Minimum of a primary school diploma
- At least a year or of related work experience or 1 year in a similar role
- Advanced knowledge of standard work routines and general kitchen rules
- Proven ability to perform repetitive tasks with attention to detail
- Strong physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods
- Excellent hygiene practices and understanding of cleanliness standards
- Basic math skills for measuring cleaning solutions accurately
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team
- Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to providing excellent service
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures and technologies
