Job Description

Role Overview

As a Spa Therapist at Banyan Tree Dubai, you are responsible for delivering exceptional wellness experiences through personalised spa treatments, ensuring every guest receives a calming, rejuvenating, and memorable journey.

You are a key ambassador of the Banyan Tree brand, providing professional, attentive, and personalised care while creating a tranquil environment that reflects the resort’s commitment to wellbeing and exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Consultation & Personalised Treatments

  • Conduct professional consultations with guests prior to treatments to understand their preferences, wellness goals, and any health considerations.
  • Recommend suitable treatments and wellness experiences based on individual guest needs.
  • Deliver a variety of high-quality spa treatments, including massages, body treatments, and wellness therapies.
  • Perform specialised treatments such as aromatherapy, hot stone therapy, reflexology, and other signature spa experiences.
  • Ensure treatments are delivered safely, professionally, and in line with Banyan Tree Spa standards.

Guest Experience & Service Excellence

  • Create a warm, relaxing, and personalised experience for every guest throughout their spa journey.
  • Ensure guests feel comfortable, cared for, and fully relaxed before, during, and after treatments.
  • Maintain a calm and peaceful treatment environment through appropriate lighting, temperature, music, and overall ambience.
  • Provide professional advice on wellness routines, skincare, and post-treatment care.
  • Build genuine connections with guests and anticipate their needs to enhance their overall experience.

Spa Product Knowledge & Retail Support

  • Recommend appropriate spa products and treatments based on guest preferences and requirements.
  • Promote spa services and retail products to support revenue objectives.
  • Share product knowledge and wellness recommendations with guests in a professional and consultative manner.
  • Encourage repeat visits by creating memorable and personalised guest interactions.

Treatment Room & Hygiene Standards

  • Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and presentation of treatment rooms at all times.
  • Ensure all equipment, tools, linens, and amenities are prepared before and after each treatment.
  • Follow strict hygiene, sanitation, and safety procedures in line with spa standards.
  • Ensure guest records, treatment preferences, and relevant health information are accurately maintained.
  • Report any maintenance, safety, or guest-related concerns to the Spa management team.

Teamwork & Operational Support

  • Collaborate closely with Spa, Wellness, and Front Office teams to ensure a seamless guest experience.
  • Participate in training and development programmes to continuously enhance technical skills and service knowledge.
  • Stay updated on the latest spa trends, treatments, and wellness practices.
  • Support the overall operation of the Spa department and assist with additional duties as required.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous experience as a Spa Therapist within a luxury hotel, resort, or wellness environment preferred.
  • Professional certification or qualification in spa therapy, massage, beauty, or wellness treatments.
  • Strong knowledge of massage techniques, body treatments, and spa therapies.
  • Experience delivering personalised treatments to luxury clientele.
  • Good spoken English; additional languages are an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of hygiene, safety, and guest care standards.
