Job Description

  • Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning, recipe development, and food preparation at the Flying Elephant, the destination for mystical mixology where Indian-influenced cocktails meet contemporary Desi bar bites.
  • Supervise kitchen team and ensure adherence to quality and safety standards, maintaining the Flying Elephant's reputation for excellence.
  • Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed, contributing to the Flying Elephant's commitment to quality and innovation.
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen team members on cooking techniques and procedures, fostering a culture of creativity and collaboration at the Flying Elephant.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, reflecting the Flying Elephant's commitment to professionalism and hygiene.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or senior line cook in a restaurant or hotel kitchen, preferably in a destination bar environment.
  • Strong culinary skills and knowledge of Indian cuisine, aligned with the Flying Elephant's commitment to mystical mixology and global-inspired Indian street food.
  • Leadership abilities and excellent communication skills, with a passion for fostering a culture of creativity and collaboration at the Flying Elephant.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks, maintaining the Flying Elephant's reputation for excellence.
  • Understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations, ensuring the Flying Elephant's operations meet the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent certification is preferred, demonstrating a commitment to excellence in the culinary arts.
