We are looking for an Ambassador for Sofitel Auckland Viaduct Harbour as a Fixed Term Part Time - Social Media & Digital Content Coordinator. This is a 10 months parental leave coverage starting on 15 May 2025 to 14 March 2026.

The ambassador should an eye for detail, a passion for creating magnifique luxury experience for our guests and developing a wonderful team. 

YOUR PURPOSE: You are the architect of digital elegance, designing a seamless, captivating brand experience that inspires and engages with precision.

Based at Sofitel Auckland Viaduct Harbour. Occasional travel to Wellington may be required. 

Location: 21 Viaduct Harbour Avenue, Auckland CBD

This role reports directly to the Cluster Digital and Content Marketing Manager of Sofitel Auckland Viaduct Harbour and Sofitel Wellington. 


Job Description

Our Ambassador will be:

  • To oversee the planning and delivery of all social media activity for Sofitel Auckland Viaduct Harbour
  • Oversee all social media presence of both SAVH with a focus on targeted Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn posts
  • To drive hotel outlets visibility, including F&B outlets, banquets, and any other hotel area or activity, into the public forums to generate local and international interest and revenue.
  • Plan and maintain the social media promotions calendar ensuring it is up to date at all times and strategic postings covering all revenue departments for both hotels are covered.
  • To assist with the acquisition of marketing assets for social media including video and photography.
  • Monitor social media channels coverage and performance.
  • Attend and action as necessary all action outcomes as it relates to marketing and communications from hotel internal meetings, including F&B promotional meetings, S&M Meetings, and luxury forums.
  • Assist the Cluster Digital and Content Marketing Manager and DOSM with EOM reporting on highlights of the social media activity for the month.
  • Any other reasonable request within your range of competence as required by your Supervisor or Management.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a similar role within a Hotel and collaborating with business stakeholders
  • Minimum 1 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably including 5 star experience.
  • A degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field is common among content managers
  • An understanding of luxury guest expectations and desire to meet these expectations.
  • Attention to detail
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Office and Photoshop applications
  • Projects professional image at all times through personal presentation/ interpersonal skills.
  • Maintains awareness of industry trends in service, product and presentation.
  • Initiates contacts and establishes rapport easily.
  • Organises time and work efficiently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, English essential
  • Hours worked according to the demands of the business and as per employment agreement.
