Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Senior Sales Manager- Government to join our team at Swissotel Corniche Park Towers  Qatar. In this pivotal role, you will lead our government sales division, developing and implementing strategic sales initiatives to drive growth in the public sector market.

  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies targeting government agencies and public sector organizations in Qatar and the surrounding region
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing sales team, setting clear objectives and fostering a culture of excellence
  • Identify new business opportunities and cultivate relationships with key decision-makers in government entities
  • Oversee the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to contract negotiation and closure
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery of products and services to government clients
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and government procurement processes to inform sales strategies
  • Prepare and present compelling proposals and presentations to government stakeholders
  • Monitor team performance, sales metrics, and KPIs, adjusting strategies as needed to meet or exceed targets
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant government regulations and procurement policies
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to enhance brand visibility in the government sector

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred
  • 2-3 years of experience in government sales, with a proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing sales teams
  • In-depth understanding of government procurement processes and public sector regulations
  • Strong strategic thinking and business development skills
  • Excellent negotiation and contract management abilities
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with high-level government officials
  • Experience working in the Middle East region, particularly in Qatar, is highly desirable
  • Willingness to travel as required for client meetings and industry events
