Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee general accounting functions.
  • Manage closing activities
  • Audit support
  • Balance sheet reconciliation
  • Tax compliance
  • Assist in implementing and management of projects in the area of finance and accounting.

Accounting

  • Perform general accounting GL activities.
  • Participate in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial closure and reporting process including analytical review and consolidation entries.
  • Assist in both internal and external audits, maintain internal controls, and ensure adherence to financial regulations.
  • Reconcile financial records, including bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable ensure all entries are accurate and that transactions are reported in accordance with accounting standards and government regulations.
  • Contribute to corporate financial projects, process improvements, and system upgrades.

Tax

  • Take ownership of Tax compliance and reporting processes, ensure the timely and accurate tax return, direct and indirect, in collaboration with local firms.
  • Assist the preparation and submission of accurate and timely tax returns, including income tax and other tax-related filings.
  • Assist in external audits (Direct and Indirect Tax)

Team collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with cross-cultural, functional teams, tax professionals, operational departments, outsourced shared service centre and external auditors.
  • Provide guidance and training to other team members.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting or in a relevant discipline.
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, working knowledge of hospitality industry.
  • Strong analytical and management report writing skills.
  • Highly organized with detailed oriented and solution oriented attitude.
  • Ability to work independently as well as working in a team.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
