Job Description

The Sales Manager is entrusted with the critical responsibility of promoting the Hotel and, where applicable, other properties within the chain in their designated area or region. This role is pivotal in achieving the following objectives:

  • Strategically drive optimal sales performance while adhering to the company's best interests and financial goals.
  • Diligently work towards meeting the Hotel Budget and Individual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including Room Target, Meeting Room Target, Average Daily Rate (ADR), and Occupancy (OCC).
  • Conduct strategic engagements with former, existing, and potential clients to secure contracts, with a particular focus on commercial accounts.
  • Utilize analytical skills to forecast business volume, taking into account factors such as hotel occupancy, seasonal trends, weather patterns, and both hotel and community activities.
  • Precisely identify guest requirements and ensure that offered services align effectively with client needs and expectations.
  • Achieve targets by implementing strategies to increase room night production and average room rates as established by the Director of Sales.
  • Maintain and update critical information regarding companies, contacts, profiles, and databases in the Anais system (Property Management System) with utmost accuracy and timeliness.
  • Provide exemplary after-sales service, ensuring that all guest complaints are addressed with the utmost seriousness and escalated to the appropriate departments when necessary.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for high-profile guests acquired through personal outreach efforts.
  • Conduct price negotiations with clients, ensuring optimal outcomes for the hotel.
  • Formalize all verbal proposals through written documentation to maintain clear communication and accountability.
  • Implement thorough follow-up procedures for all complaints to ensure resolution and client satisfaction.
  • Consistently meet or exceed personal and sales team goals as assigned by management.
  • Conduct regular competitive analysis and contribute to market intelligence efforts to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Execute hotel room night sales to new, existing, and prospective customers in alignment with the established sales strategy, negotiating rates that maximize business profitability.
  • Strictly adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes, ensuring their effective communication and implementation within the team.
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned by senior management, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to organizational success.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management is mandatory
  • Minimum of 3 years of demonstrable sales experience in an equivalent capacity is required
  • Proven track record in relationship building and business development, including proficiency in prospecting, networking, conducting site inspections, and executing sales calls
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to stay current with industry trends and disseminate critical information to all relevant personnel
  • Exceptional organizational acumen, with a proven capacity to prioritize and manage multiple high-priority tasks concurrently
  • Forward-thinking mindset to anticipate and proactively support evolving business needs
  • Unwavering commitment to the highest standards of personal integrity and ethical conduct
  • Demonstrated excellence in customer service delivery
  • Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Singapore. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining work authorization documents.
