Sales Manager (Government Relations and Protocol)
The Sales Manager (Government Relations and Protocol) is responsible for effectively soliciting and becoming familiar with all accounts in the market segments. The role will contribute to the hotel's performance by applying the skills acquired through past experiences in the Sales Department. Accountable for prospecting and closing assigned accounts/territories to positively impact hotel revenues. Additionally, is tasked with increasing transient/group room revenue by enhancing production from relevant accounts, and responsible for month-end reporting and tracking account production.

Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service and Engagement: Provide consistent professional, friendly, and engaging service, including meeting and greeting onsite contacts to showcase the hotel, and ensure prompt and courteous service is extended to both internal and external customers.
- Sales and Business Development: Responsible for all government/ministry, semi-government institutions, as well as all sporting associations and government-related institutions, and assist in implementing special promotions relating to direct sales segments. Solicit group, transient, and/or banquet business through action plan preparation and execution, establish parameters, quotes, and negotiate prices, confirming by written contracts, and participate in tradeshows, conventions, and promotional events within the hotel and trade-related organizations.
- Communication and Meetings: Ensure follow-up meetings are conducted, and associates receive timely feedback. Attend regular communication meetings with team(s) and actively participate in relevant business meetings to facilitate effective communication, including attending Business Review Meetings with the Sales team.
- Administrative and Reporting: Maintain accounts, contacts, activity, and business details within the appropriate software applications, prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as required, and assist with other responsibilities and duties in the absence of team members or other tasks assigned by the manager.
- Safety and Policy Compliance: Follow departmental policies and procedures, as well as all safety policies and policies and procedures established by the hotel.
- Sales Experience and Skills: Previous Sales experience in the Kingdom of Bahrain within the same role is essential, along with strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
- Technical Skills: Excellent knowledge in Microsoft Windows applications is required.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary in Arabic and English.
- Personal Attributes: The candidate should be highly responsible and reliable, with the ability to focus attention on guest needs, always remaining calm and courteous.
