The Hoxton, Charlottenburg (Berlin) – Sales Coordinator (m/f/d)

2023 sees The Hoxton take on Europe! We’re popping up in some of our favorite cities and we’ve opened our first hotel in Germany in the city of culture and creativity, Berlin. We are now looking for a Sales Coordinator to join our team.

Our first Hoxton in Germany is home to 234 bedrooms of varying sizes, a ground floor restaurant and bar, coffee bar and streetside terrace and The Apartment – our unique meetings and events concept. Our restaurant is the meeting of a North Indian communal eatery and a classic European cuisine. It brings together the characteristics of these two traditional restaurants - the tandoor ovens, Indian spices, and marinades, select prime cuts of meat, and buzzing atmosphere.

Reporting to our Director of Sales you’ll be a key player and support to our Sales team by handling admin, systems and everything in between to drive the conversion of enquiries & planning of meetings, events & group accommodation bookings.

Job Description

  • Keep things running smoothly by supporting our reactive Groups & Events sales team: Manage an inbox and phone system, answering calls and emails, distributing enquires, ensuring a quick response time & memorable first impression of The Hoxton and Ennismore.
  • Use our booking system from A-Z to maintain an up to date database and booking system – helping us be all over our guests and our business!
  • Have a strong understanding of all the links in the chain that makes Hotel sales and operations tick – and support on key elements like billing and actualising. 
  • Build strong relationships with our other teams and external third parties, keeping the guest experience at the heart of everything you do.
  • Gain insight and experience with client-facing elements, managing the booking process by supporting our Groups & Events team as needed. 
  • Get involved with projects across the Hotel working on other areas of Sales as required – think RFP season, tradeshow prep, collateral and beyond!
  • Maintain and update our corporate total account list and assist with reporting on key performance indicators such as account production and booking pace. 

Qualifications

  •  
  • Experience working within hospitality or a similar role; you’re looking for an opportunity to take the next step into a career in Sales or Groups & Events. 
  • Someone who is proud of their OTT attention to detail and knows how to stay organised while working at a fast pace. 
  • You’re confident using systems such as Outlook, Excel, Microsoft word, (experience using OPERA or Delphi would be an advantage). 
  • A people person, great at building strong and lasting relationships. 
  • You’re looking for a challenge and a place where you can be you (no clones in suits here). 
  • You’re not precious. We leave our egos at the door and help get stuff done.
