Welcome to Sofitel Cairo Downtown, a new destination in the heart of Cairo, combining luxury, elegance, and French art de vivre, We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Safety Manager to join our team. As the Safety Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive safety programs to ensure a secure work environment for all employees and visitors.


Job Description

Main Duties.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with local and international regulations
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions
  • Lead and coordinate emergency response activities, including drills and training exercises
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and recommend preventive measures
  • Provide safety training and education to employees at all levels of the organization
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safety programs and initiatives, making data-driven improvements as needed
  • Collaborate with department heads and management to integrate safety practices into daily operations
  • Maintain accurate safety records and prepare reports for management and regulatory agencies
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in safety regulations and industry best practices
  • Manage the budget for safety-related equipment, training, and programs
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for safety-related matters with external agencies and stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a safety management or supervisory role
  • In-depth knowledge of local and international safety regulations and standards
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing safety policies and procedures
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to train and educate others
  • Proficiency in Windows-based programs and safety management software
  • Current certification in CPR and First Aid
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to collaborate and influence at all levels of the organization
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in emergency situations
  • Professional demeanor and commitment to maintaining a culture of safety
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergencies as needed
